Your job as Service Engineer
As a service engineer you are a member of the service team, lead by a service manager. Apart from the AGVs you will service other logistic equipment like conveyor systems, sorters, automatic High Bay Warehouses and robots.
Installing new AGV systems
You may take part in the project team consisting of service engineers and software engineers, that installs the new AGV system on the client’s site. Installing a new system may take you abroad for a week.
Preventive maintenance
This is the day to day routine: You leave home and drive in your AGVR service bus directly to the client scheduled for that day.
Corrective mainenance
In case of a mechanical or electrical failure, the hotline engineer will dispatch a service engineer to analyze the problem and replace any defective parts. AGVR offers its clients 24/7 support, therefore in 4 week turns every service engineer is stand-by for urgent corrective maintenance outside normal working hours. The 24/7 watch is limited to 8 working hours/day and is paid separately.
What we expect
Education
We expect from you a mid level education or apprenticeship as a mechanical or electrical engineer. Some years of applicable experience is definitely a pro but if you are good, we are still interested. You must feel comfortable with industrial automation.
Languages and traveling abroad
Since we operate internationally you must speak English well, and you are prepared to travel abroad.
Speaking Dutch or German is preferred for communicating in the offices.
Attitude
You understand how important our clients are and will always serve them well. Often you will be on your own with only remote support from your service manager or other colleagues so you must be able to work independently. On other occasions however you must fit in a small team. In all situations we despise a 9 to 5 mentality, those people who go home and leave the work for their colleagues, do not fit in our company.
Legal
To drive the service bus you must have a valid driving license. We will require from you an official proof of good conduct, stating that you do not have a criminal record.

You will be working in a high tech company with a down-to-earth mentality which is staffed mainly by technicians and some secretaries.
